About Me

My name is Jim Roberts, the President and lead programmer of Roberts WebForge, Inc. I specialize in providing website functionality - making your site work! I have degrees in both Computer Science and Business, which gives me a complete perspective to make sure your website works with your business needs. I started in this industry in 1996, so I've seen a lot of changes over the years.

TECHNOLOGIES

I program in PHP, mysql, javascript, and Perl, usually on linux / unix based hosting platforms. Common applications I deal with are e-commerce (shopping carts), listing databases, forums / bulletin boards and web forms. I often deal with existing (someone else’s) code, or purchased software that includes source code.

A PEOPLE PERSON

Many technical people have prickly personalities - they are arrogant, condescending, and difficult to work with. You will find that I am the exact opposite.

NOT A DESIGNER!

I have no artistic abilities - and no eye for design. So, I work with designers (yours or mine), but my strength is really programming and functionality.

WORKING WITH ME

When you work with Roberts WebForge, you work with ME. If additional talent is required, I will discuss that with you. I can work with designers (yours or mine), and other professionals.

RESPONSIVE

I don't disappear on you, or go into hiding. I'll keep you updated on my progress, and answer any concerns you have along the way.
